I have been thinking about what makes a drawing a drawing. Is it the media? The ground? Pencil and paper? Ink? Paint? Other? Can you portray the aspects of drawing without using traditional ideas that surround the word “Drawing”. I think you can! I have produced a piece with expanding foam. However the question was that the way the material was placed brought ideas of drawing and painting into play. The lines and grayscale gave people a familiar look at drawing, but the way it was applied made it a painting. Where or is there a fine line between the two?!
